Epic is pleased to bring back one our former players, Jacy Novicio to our coaching staff. Jacy played three years of club volleyball here at Epic before going on to play collegiately at the University of Arizona.

Jacy has been playing and coaching volleyball for more than 18 years, and had one of the most decorated high school careers a player could have. She was a four-year letter winner who attended four high schools. As a freshman at South Oldham (Ky.) High School, Jacy won her team's Best Offense Award, and was named first team academic all-state and was named to Who's Who in High School Academics. As a sophomore at South Oldham, received the All-Hitter Award and was named to the regional all-tournament team. As a junior at Coronado (Calif.) High School, was co-captain and team MVP, and was named first team All-Eastern League, League Co-MVP and San Diego Union Tribune second team all-section, she received the Scholar Athlete Award. As a senior at Flour Bluff (Texas) High School, Jacy was named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association Class 4A all-state team. Jacy also earned first team All-Metro and All-Metro MVP by the Corpus Christi Caller-Times, District 31 4A MVP, first team All-South Texas and South Texas MVP and was ranked 84th in the PrepVolleyball.com Senior Aces.

Jacy was a four year starter for the University of Arizona where she earned numerous awards. Her freshman year she earned the All PAC-10 Freshman honorable mentions, broke the universities record for the ninth most blocks in one season, finishing second in the PAC-10. She went on to earn CSUB All-Tournament Team. Her senior year she earned all PAC-10 honorable mentions.

Jacy has been coaching at Epic for six years, last year Jacy coaching one of our 14- regional boys teams. Along with her extensive playing experience, Jacy offers her players a very demanding style of coaching while, at the same time, working hard to ensure that they have a positive and growing experience.
