Summer Vicknair
Coach, Boys Boys HS NT

We are excited to have Summer return to Epic Volleyball Club this season. She brings a wide range of experience in San Diego county including coaching high school and club volleyball as well as officiating at the high school and collegiate levels. Summer has an impressive record with Solana Beach Volleyball Club during the past seven seasons, coaching all her teams to a winning record. She is currently a collegiate volleyball official and is the Assignment Secretary for all of the San Diego County high schools and several colleges. She is a practicing attorney and she and her husband have a 2 year old daughter Riley and a 10 month old daughter Avery. Summer's 16-1 team finished 7th at Festival in 2009, her 15s team won the Silver division in 2008. She has taken teams across the nation for Junior National Qualifiers, AAU's and Festival.
Summer has coached volleyball for the past 11 years. Her experience includes playing at Point Loma high school and club volleyball here in San Diego. Summer then went on to play Division I softball at Boston University. After college she returned to San Diego to pursue a Masters degree at San Diego State and a law degree from the University of San Diego. During this time she started coaching and officiating volleyball.
Summer started her coaching career at North County Volleyball Club in 2001 for one season and then moved over to Club Pacific. She joined us here at Epic with the boys program in 2006 and coached for three seasons. She coached at Solana Beach Volleyball Club from 2005-2012 eventually becoming the Recruiting Coordinator for players heading off to college and then the Assistant Club Director. Many of her former players have played at the DI level and are currently playing college volleyball. Summer was the head coach at the Grauer School from 2008-2010, head coach at the San Diego Jewish Academy from 2006-2008 and the head Boys coach at West Hills from 2004-2005.
